If you are a Beetle owner and don't know exactly which year you have then there are some easy ways to tell about what year you have.

If your window is curved and not flat then you have a '73-'79 Beetle. On the other hand, if you have a flat window then it was one made before '73.

You can also tell whether or not your beetle was made before '67 by the light fixture if it looks like this, then it was made before '67.

Also, if your VW has an oval window in the back then it it is a VW that was made between '53 and '57.

You can also tell if your Beetle is a Superbeetle if it has MacPherson struts where as the standard Beetle only has torsion struts.

The Best Beetle

It has become apparent to many beetle owners that the best beetle was the 1967 Beetle due to its high quality parts along with its long lasting, low maintenance handling.
